About

Founded with the inspiration of 2020, Sevrin Designs began as a personal project for a home studio. Original full sized plate reverb was the initial goal, however, since then Brock has moved into scaling them down. These smaller versions allow for more space and are much more mobile, while still allowing a beautiful unique tone to utilize on any project. An affordable statement piece for any studio!

Brock began building large scale plate reverb setups, which he had experimented with for a while. After all, this is an old fashion concept that many people take on themselves because they either can’t find new ones, or plainly just can’t afford the old ones. The entire idea behind this project, was to build a mechanical plate reverb setup that was not only a more affordable option for the user, but that was also smaller and more compact than the original large scale plates. There are more home studios today than there ever has been, and that number will continue to grow. That being said, large scale reverb can take up a lot of space.

For the past 10-12 years, he has spent in and out of studios and played gigs across the country. Polar opposite passions don’t often work well together, however, Sevrin Designs was a way to include both into one product. Plate reverb is generally an old technology, however, tried and true. Nothing beats the sound of an analog plate reverb. There are definitely some great plug-ins out there but with the mechanical version comes that unique sound, that in his opinion, you can’t get from prefabbed or digital options. Every plate reverb in the industry has it’s own unique sound plate to plate, because the metallurgic make-up of 2 plates aren’t alike. You can be confident that when you own your own plate, the sound that resonates is “Your Sound. Furthermore, the signal chain in which your track moves through the plate electronically, is fully customizable and allows you to fine tune your perfect tone, which is why these plates are not sold with electronics, and can contribute to a cheaper cost for the consumer.

Sevrin Designs is based in Nashville, Tennessee.
